Walking & ...
1. Walking & Writing

Walking & Writing is the first of three books about using walking as a source of inspiration. Building on the work of poets such as Thomas A Clark and Ian Hamilton Finlay, Walking & Writing discusses the relationship between concrete poetry and going on a walk, paying close attention to the meaning, appearance and sounds words make when displayed in certain ways. Using three walks I took myself as a starting point, and some self-imposed restrictions formed by my research into artists and writers such as Dom Sylvester Houédard and Richard Long, I produced a number of poems that work together to document (in a fairly unconventional manner) the process of going for a walk.

The book is hand bound using coptic binding and features two spreads of original typewritten paper.
